My Boston Goal

The irony of this blog is that right now I actually just finished my second attempt to qualify for Boston, and I am taking a break! However, I know that in the back of my mind, Boston is still my goal. I am training for my first triathlon in hopes that I will get stronger and in better shape so that when I start training for another marathon I will be ready!

So, are you ready to go on my journey with me? I want to use this blog to track my progress starting 6 years ago. Plus, I need a place to write about my races!

You are totally going to qualifyf for Boston - I've done a tri and it is really fun. The one thing I would suggest (not that I'm an expert or anything) is to practice biking and then running - that transition hurts and I wish I would've been more prepared for that.

Which one are you doing?

Hi- do not give up on your Boston goal. I, finally, qualified this past Sept, 3:33, beating my previous time of 3:56!!!!! I for the first time, tried adding pace running into my workouts. I also started lifting weights and really keeping a strong, positive attitude. You too can do it. It has been a long journey for me but soo worth the wait. Now, I just have to survive the training in the cold, freezing Wisconsin winter where I live, blah :( I am not a winter runner, I guess that is my next challegne, learning to become one :) Best of luck!
